Report: €210m transfer spree now imminent for Manchester City

Unknown-1

Wow

What a great bit of news for Manchester City fans on a Friday avo.

After seeing their club spend so freely for a few years it would have been a tad frustrating for Manchester City fans to see the purse strings tightened so much when the new FFP regulations came in to effect.

But the latest news suggests that Manchester City are to have their spending restrictions lifted and could embark on a transfer frenzy like few before it.

The Daily Mail reports:

Manchester City line up £150m (210m Euros) transfer spree on Raheem Sterling, Paul Pogba and Kevin De Bruyne after UEFA lift FFP caps

One of the best in Europe this season

With this in mind it looks as if Manchester City could pursue their major targets for the summer.

They are seemingly looking to strengthen considerably in the wide areas and Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling appear to be the top targets. If they can bring these two in they will be providing much better service for the likes of Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony. Those four form a frightening front line for City next season.

The dream signing would of course be Paul Pogba as a long term replacement for the peerless Yaya Toure. But with so many interested parties Manchester City have a titanic tussle on their hands to sign this Frenchman.

Let’s see De Bruyne in action. Manchester City fans: which player would you most like to sign?

Only a gopher like Michel Platini would see an owner investing in their club as a problem whereas massive debt carrying clubs like ManU, Barca, Real Madrid, Liverpool are considered fine. FFP all about maintaining the status quo.

I really want us to get de-bruyn as he really does seem the player we need. Another player I’d love us to go for is pedro of barca where apparently he’s not to happy. He is truly world class and would be a huge upgrade on navas . Don’t think we’ll get pogba so would try for hamsic of napoli. He’d be a lot cheaper and is a great goal scoring midfielder. CTWD.
