This football week has been dominated by the uncertian future of Sergio Ramos. He may find himself at Manchester United next season with David de Gea included in the deal. But if we were using De Gea as bait, there are several other players who we would want ahead of the Spaniard:
Gary Bale
25. Built like a monster from a cartoon. And still somehow faster than a dodgy curry through the body.
Bale has drawn polemic responses at Real Madrid and has been booed by sections of Los Blancos’ fans. While 39 goals in 92 games for a winger in The Premier League would be amazing stats, some Spaniards think that’s a pretty ordinary return. But Bale was always going to struggle to equal the feats of Madrid’s last record signing and he will come home at some stage. Manchester United would be grateful recipients of the Welsh whilrlwind.
Cristiano
Speaking of returns, who better to bring back to Old Trafford than the Portuguese powerhouse. Some say his foible is that he’s too selfish – who cares? He’s a Manchester United legend and confetti would greet his feet if he ever re-entered Old Trafford as a Manchester United player. Rooney, Di Maria, Depay and Ronaldo up front? See you later rivals. Trot on.

Raphael Varane
Although he’s not getting in the team right now this guy looks as good a young centre back as there is anywhere in the world. He reminds us of our favourite centre back of all time – Rio Ferdinand. He can out sprint pretty much anyone at a canter and has a lovely first touch – he’d be a far better investment than the ridiculously expensive 29 year old.

Sign otamendi and ask madrid for varane in place of a de gea instead of a 29 yr old player that is sure of a yellow card even a red card per game……. Ed make a wise signing …. Sign me am also a good playmaker
