Barcelona aren’t exactly suffering with with their transfer ban. Their win in Berlin made them the first team ever to win two trebles of the big three trophies – The Champions League, La Liga and the cup – some a achievement for a club that many felt had gone off the boil.

And while they can’t official bring in new players until January, they have agreed two more deals this week (on the back of Aleix Vidal from Seville), both of which could be vital for the club over the next couple of years.

Luis Enrique

Quiet yet assured, Luis Enrique has masterminded an almost impossible treble in his very first season as Barcelona boss. Having started the season well with 7 wins, Barcelona looked a little patchy as the autumn progressed and there was some talk of disharmony in he camp. But he has steadied himself and the Barcelona team has been improving all season as the likes of Rakitic and Suarez have slowly gelled with the team – their goals in The Champions League final show who far they have come.

At this point Barcelona fans will hope that he remains the manager for a long time. He has confirmed today that he has signed a one year extension to his current contract:

Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique has signed a one-year contract extension with the European champions.

The former Barca and Real Madrid midfielder agreed terms on a deal which will keep him at the Nou Camp until 2017.

Dani Alves

This one will come as a real shock and relief to most Barcelona fans who felt that the superstar was leaving the club after 7 great seasons.

He looked certain to leave even a week ago but has done a major U-turn and will now play for another two seasons for Barcelona. Based on the form he showed in The Champions League final, he could go on for much longer than that. His energy levels are as good as ever and there is a new found finesse to his game that makes him arguably better than ever.

ESPN reported:

Dani Alves has signed a new two-year contract at Barcelona with an option for a third season.
