Any current transfer rumour which pertains to Real Madrid players must currently be taken with a large punch of salt. Because, until new coach Rafa Benitez gets his feet under the table, we can’t be sure exactly who he plans to keep and offload.
He will of course want to make his own mark at the club and so we expect some players to be culled. One of them has reportedly been interesting Manchester City for a while and it’s easy to see why.
At 23 years of age, Isco is a twisting and turning pain in the behind for any opponent. He loves to run with the ball and can shoot convincingly off either foot.
He hasn’t quite made the grade at Real Madrid yet and with a front four of Rodriguez, Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema he may well have to move on if he wants to play every week.

We aren’t sure that Silva needs replacing just yet and we also think that they could play together. Isco is an adaptable player who has the strength to do the dirty work from deep and the attacking guile to get forward and score goals – for our money, he’s the perfect addition to a top squad and is bound to get even better with regular game time.
Manchester City will spend this summer and they could do a lot worse than this lad.
