Manchester United: Jonny Evans – Keep or Sell?

Evans - Time for a change

Tough Times

He’s been at Manchester United since 2006 – albeit with loan spells to Antwerp and Sunderland thrown in there – and played 192 games for the club.

But it’s difficult to argue with the notion that this has been his worst season for Manchester United.

He got off to a bad start in pre-season and has never recovered.

Evans - Pony This Season

Evans – Pony This Season

Evans should have been the natural successor to Vidic and Ferdinand – the next generation of solid and classy defenders at Manchester United. He’s got good technique and is comfortable on both feet. He’s also got the sort of adventurous style that goes down well with United supporters.

But he hasn’t kicked on and has done himself no favours this season at the club. He looks full of mistakes and his confidence is low.

FINAL WORD: Sometimes a change is as good as a rest and we think that Evans has gone beyond the point of no return this year. With Jones, Smalling, Rojo and McNair all kicking on this season, it’s difficult to see a future at Manchester United for the Northern Irishman, beyond this summer. SELL

Its crazy to think of selling a player that has done so much in the club. All we need is just to add a center back to support Smalling, Jones, Evans and Rojo.

Getting rid of Evans will be GOOD for Evans BAD for United but our own supporters are partly responsible
