We always say that a big money signing is exciting but a big money YOUNG signing is even better. Watching a player improve each week and not knowing where their limits are, as with Cesc, is one of the great joys of football.
So it is with enthusiasm that we report on Arsenal’s apparent scouting mission to France last week. The Star reckons:
ARSENAL reportedly sent a scout to watch Lyon pair Alexandre Lacazette and Nabil Fekir in action last weekend.
Arsenal send top spy to watch £60m (84.3m Euros) deadly duo ahead of potential summer raid
Those who don’t know about Lacazette should read more soccersweep. The 23 year old has been hogging the headlines in France and beyond with some stunning displays and 31 goals in just 38 games for Lyon this season, to send him to the top of the scoring charts. He’s only 5ft 9in but he’s strong, quick and ruthless in front of goal. He looks for all the world that he will make the grade in another league before long. Arsenal will do well to get him with the competition for his signature.
As for Fekir, he’s just 21 but already banging in the goals from midfield with 12 in 27 for Lyon also. Such has been his form that he’s already turned out twice for the French national side.
Let’s see the lad in action.
