The Sun reports that Manchester United are prepared to offer David de Gea £250k a week to tempt him to stay ta Manchester United, amid strong interest from Real Madrid.
In truth, it looks for all the world that the lad wants to leave. He’s had a great career at Manchester United but his girlfriend is also based in his home town, Madrid, and he has the chance to play for arguably the biggest club in the world. Real Madrid don’t even have to make any comment on this one because they know they are in a great position.
You want De Gea? Simple. Then just give us Bale.
Manchester United must surely now focus on getting the best deal possible. Real Madrid have a struggling star who would tear The Premier League apart and Los Blancos can’t have it all their own way.
If they really want De Gea they should prove it by agreeing to make Gary Bale part of the deal. If they aren’t prepared to do it then Manchester United should highlight this point to De Gea, who is so genuinely adored and appreciated at Old Trafford.
Business is business. Manchester United are not a feeder club for Real Madrid. They are their fierce rivals. And United need to act accordingly if they are to lose their player of the season.
