Deeply: The Next World Star?

More pace

So, with the form of the Manchester United squad so good, we may not see another deluge in the transfer market this summer after all.

At various points over the last year the names of Mata, Herrera, Fellaini, Jones, Smalling, Evans, RvP, Di Maria and Falcao have been mentioned in relation to transfers.

On current form, only the final 4 on that list have any chance of being offloaded this summer. And with a big squad already, Manchester United will add 4 players at the most in thee transfer window.

The big one could be Di Maria. He’s too expensive to leave on the bench longer term. So unless Louis swaps him for Young in the first eleven then he could well be on his way. In this case we think that Louis will bring in a young star who can eventually change games on that left flank.

Memphis Depay is the name on many lips right now. He’s really kicked on from The World Cup, scoring over 20 goals for PSV this season and also destroying Spain in a friendly recently. Manchester United should definitely move for this lad.

Despite the excellent embryonic partnership of Jones and Smalling we think that Mats Hummels will sign for Manchester United. That is unless Jurgen Klopp goes to City, in which case they could have a major fight on their hands for his signature. Jonny Evans will surely leave this summer, if Hummels does come in.

On the right of defence Nathaniel Clyne looks absolutely perfect for Manchester United, who may also sign Danny Ings for the squad – but he shouldn’t expect a start straight away.

So here is how we think that Manchester United will line up come September. But, even with all his skill, Depay will struggle to unseat Young on this form.

Manchester United fans: is this how you think the team will look in September?

I can’t see it myself, some are bound to leave, Evans I think is a definite, I’m not sure about Di Maria, everyone is calling him a flop, but he’s got 10 assists so far, and thats the best in the league, why would Van Gaal want to get rid of him, Falcao I can see him staying as well, if RVP moves on, which is the more likely of the two. Clyne is paper talk, we have Valencia and Rafael, both link up well with Hererra and Mata, so why spoil that ?
