Before he got injured a couple of years ago the name on the lips of many to most football fans, with regards the hottest properties in Europe, was Ilkay Gundogan.
He was Wayne Rooney like in his ability to play so well in so many positions – a natural born footballer who was so talented that you could put him pretty much anywhere on the park and expect top quality.
He was a great anchor man, a box to box midfielder, a playmaker and a goal scorer. Gundogan had the world at his feet.
But serious injury stalled his progress and, only now, is he recovering that superb form.
The Daily Mail writes on Saturday that the player ‘expects’ to move to Manchester United this summer, in a double deal that will also see the impeorious centre back, Mats Hummers, join the club.

The 24 year old has only played 9 times (2 goals) for Germany since his debut in 2011 but that figure would surely be far more impressive had injury not curtailed his career. He’s played 25 times for Dortmund this season, keeping ex-Manchetser Unied star Shinji Kagawa out of the side, and could end up at United after all.
FINAL WORD: Not sure where he would play and he shouldn’t expect to walk straight into the first team.
Let’s see the lad in action.
