Arsenal are said to be monitoring the situation of Manchester City midfielder, James Milner, according to The Mirror:

The England midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season with Liverpool and Arsenal both keeping tabs on his situation at the Etihad

The source says that Manchester City want to keep him at The Etihad and have offered a deal worth £80,000 a week to the midfielder who has 53 England caps since his debut in 2009.

But the player is unwilling to sign any deal that isn’t for 4 years. This will put clubs like Arsenal, in need of some more steel and solidity in the midfield, on alert.

We have to say that, on recent form, you would imagine that Manchester City will do everything to hold on to the 29 year old. He’s in the form of his life and is contributing goals as well as work rate to the city midfield right now.

The better his form this spring, the more likely you are to see him in City blue next season. But we could also imagine him having a bigger part to play at Arsenal, playing as a holding midfielder and winger when needed.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Arsenal fans: would you be keen to bring Milner in over the summer?
