Latest reports suggest that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is hell bent on signing a young midfielder of great potential. The Mirror reports:
Liverpool winning Teddy Bishop transfer race as big guns eye £10m-rated Ipswich starlet
And Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is determined to win the race for the £10m-rated teen.
Our mouths are already going numb from saying ‘Steven Gerrard replacement’ and the skipper hasn’t even left the club yet. But there will be a big hole in the Liverpool engine room when the big man leaves and BR will have to devote a lot of attention to filling it.
Bishop is just 18 and has only played 17 league games for Ipswich in his fledgling career. But you can see already that he is a clever player and not just someone to marshall the defence. He can help out at the back but is much more of an attacking and creative midfielder who is comfortable on the ball and knows where the goal is.
We really like the look of him. But we all now that players can go either way from here and £10m represents a gamble, regardless of how much potential he has.
Let’s have a look at him in action. Liverpool fans: is this a player who can do the red jersey justice in future years?

Very impressive, even at such a young age his vision for an early pass seems to supersede that of his peers.
