PICTURE: Manchester City vs Arsenal Likely Line Ups and Prediction

City Arse

Same Again

The big question, going into this one, is have Arsenal progressed this season? Are they now a side who can now beat the best? Or do they still come unstuck against the big boys.

Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, the latter is still probably true. In Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal now have a forward who can score in the tightest of games and when his team is up against it. And, in that respect, they have moved forward – however unwittingly.

But, even if Sanchez does manage to get Arsenal’s noses in front do The Gunners have the midfield or defence to do a successful backs to the wall job against the might of Manchester City?

But with Manchester City without key players Sunday could represent Arsenal’s best chance in years to take the points. Or at least a point.

Ultimately however, Arsene Wenger’s steadfast negligence of his defence and defensive midfield will surely be his undoing as he is eventually forced into a car and driven away, teary eyed, Margeret Thatcher style….

As for Manchester City they have really come to life despite more injuries this season than last. We love to watch them as they just want to attack. They snuck through to The Champions League knockout stages and Chelsea won’t get moment of rest in the title race. We said it at the start and we shall say it again – they are still the best team in the league when they turn up.

City have Nasri and Dzeko crocked, with Bony and Toure away on international duty. Meanwhile Arsenal are without Arteta, Debuchy, Welbeck and Wilshere. Gibbs is a doubt.

So, with such confidence of a home win from our writers expect a shock 0-3 Arsenal win!

Here are our best XIs for the big one. Arsenal and Manchester City fans – let’s have your elevens
