Reports: Superstar wants move and Louis desperate to work with him – Manchester United to bite?

According to ever more keen and frothing at the mouth media reports this week, Manchester United could be making a move for a World Cup winner, who has apparently been told that he can leave his current club. The Telegraph surmises the hype by saying:

Manchester United have been alerted to claims that Thomas Muller is eyeing a move away from Bayern Munich.

According to the Mirror, Muller is keen for a fresh challenge and has told his agent to seal him a move away from the Allianz Arena.

Muller has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford and Louis van Gaal is desperate to work with a player – who he managed during his time as Bayern manager – again.

Muller divides opinion big time. He’s leggy and doesn’t look like the sort of fleet footed technical genius that you might be tempted to part with crazy money for.

But noone can argue with the stats of this guy. He’s done it at every level and is perhaps the ultimate paradigm of the modern, efficient German athlete.

He doesn’t make many mistakes. He’s calm under pressure and he’s been a top scorer at the last two World Cups (26 golas in 62 caps for Germany). Not bad for a 25 year old.

Muller may be unspectacular but if you could sum his qualities up you would have to say that he is a player who is usually at the right place at the right time.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Manchester United fans: is this a player who could make a big difference to the team or h\is he yet another number 10 in a team crammed full of them?
