The troubled, yet never less than interesting, Premier League career of Hatem Ben Arfa looks to be coming to an ignominious end after the player reportedly agreed to join French club Nice after a failed spell on loan from Newcastle United at Hull City.
After a superb start to his Newcastle career the player fell out with Alan Pardew and was left to rot on the sidelines for over a year. Some expected his loan move to Hull to reignite his career but it seems that a change of country is now seen as the best solution to get the 27 year old’s career back on track.

The Frenchman played some sublime games for Newcastle in his early time there. He ultimately made 86 appearances for the club, scoring 14 times. But his form has been fleeting and he’s never seemed to be completely in control of his genius. At this point, much like Nani at Manchester United, the best option is surely a fresh start in another country.
