Great news for Newcastle

Newcastle are in fine form right now and will travel to Arsenal this weekend with real confidence of getting something from the game – it’s yet another example of how quickly things can change in football. 6 weeks ago you would have thought Newcastle were more likely to get relegated than get into the top ten. But now they are knocking on the door of the top four.

And they have had some more good news this week as Rolando Aarons has started training again.

Every once in a while a club is lucky enough to see a real young diamond come to the boil. In Aarons, Newcastle have a player to get very excited about.

But, no sooner had he wowed the fans in the autumn, than he got injured and has been sidelined with hamstring trouble for all but 5 of Newcastle’s games. But in those 5 games he’s scored two goals and demonstrated immense promise – so much so that Manchester City and Liverpool are said to be keen.

But we think that the 19 year old winger will be staying at Newcastle for some time yet. He returned to full training on Tuesday and could make the squad for the weekend. We would love to see him come on against the tired legs of Arsenal at some stage in the game. This lad is electric.

Let’s see him action: Newcastle fans: will Aarons become an England regular?
