At least Arsenal fans can never claim that it’s boring to support their team. Another season of high drama has seen masses of injuries and more talk of whether Arsene is still the man to take The Gunners forward.
Never ones to sit on the fence, we think that this should be his last season, after which he should step aside gracefully. As for the injuries, we can’t remember a time when Arsenal didn’t have loads. Perhaps it’s time to look at truing methods and the sorts of players that the club is buying.
The latest problems are in defence where Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal are both nursing knocks. This could leave Arsenal without a recognised left back according to The Daily Mail.
But Yaya Sanogo and The Ox are fit and Arsene Wenger well hope for the return of Szczesny, out since the home defeat to Manchester United.
And this is a massive game for both sides. Back to back losses for Southampton and the bubble could burst. Another loss for Arsenal and the winter of discontent could take another nasty turn.
But Arsenal are keeping their heads above water right now and we expect a win. Here’s our strongest XI for the game. Gunners fans: let’s have your best elevens please.
