The Cat

The Manchester United team has had some decent performers despite suffering several serious knock backs in Louis van Gaal’s first season as manager.

Daley Blind has come in and done a really good job, offering skill and composure in midfield. Angel Di Maria has obviously been a key player who has given the fans some fantasy football in times of transition. And Wayne Rooney has once more been the consistent heart beat of the side with his all round brilliance.

But Gary Neville reckons that another fine performer has been the key man for Manchester United this term:

David de Gea is Manchester United’s most important player right now

De Gea is the player I would say Manchester United could least afford to sell. His improvement is enormous.

While Rooney has been another standout performer this season we also believe that De Gea has been a match winner on several occasions. You could tell he was class from the moment he joined the club. Once he bulked up and learned to command his area in The Premier League environment he became world class.

De Gea has remarkably good handling and shot stopping ability. He always manages to hold onto the ball regardless of how fast or awkwardly the ball comes to him. Meanwhile, his agility and reflexes are cat like.

We just love to watch him and Manchester United’s biggest issue over the coming years could be keeping the Spanish suitors with vacancies for new goalkeeping legends last bay. Because, on this form, they must surely be keen.

Let’s see the cat in action. Manchester United fans: How long will De Gea stay?
