Report: Crisis Talks Held at Arsenal: Writing finally on The Wall?

Time up?

One of the worst bits about holding on to something, anything, for too long is precisely that you don’t know you are holding on too long. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger seems like a very stubborn man. But he also seems like a very intelligent man (maybe it’s just the accent).

This intelligent man must, at some stage, have privately considered that exact question. Have I held on too long?

With every Arsenal defeat the question becomes more salient. Of course, every team loses. But Arsenal seem to lose in a similar manner and because of the same mistakes every time – mistakes which aren’t rectified.

The Daily Star reports that Arsenal have held crisis talks with Wenger since the United defeat and major shareholder, Alisher Usmanov, has also spoken about the current plight in a withering manner:

“We need to strengthen every position to play on the level of such teams in the UK as Chelsea and Manchester City, and in Europe like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and other clubs.

“I like Arsene for his principles. But principles are sort of restriction. And restrictions are always lost possibilities.

As we know, football is a highly reactionary sport – an industry where a week can make and also break a football reputation – but we can’t help seeing Wenger as the man who is now desperately looking to go out on a high but with no new ideas to combat old problems.

He therefore resembles a man who is desperately digging around for any remaining bits of change for one last go on the slots having lost all his money at an amusement arcade.

Arsenal fans: is Arsene’s time up?

Whatever decision one makes, people blame if it doesn’t works. People are now calling for Klop (whose team is 16th domestically) because of his past success without remembering the past success of Wenger. What an unpredictable human nature! The same set of people will criticize someone if Klop fails.

I was delighted when we won the F A cup last season I thought wrongly that it would be the start of another period of arsenal dominance, sadly I was wrong. Unfortunately it now appears to have been the worst thing that could have happened it gave the board a reason for keeping Arsene as our manager. When we look at the teams who have beaten us and our position in the league it is obvious to all that it is time for the manager or should I have said DAMAGER to move on and let someone else take over and restore some pride and passion into the team and get us back to our winning ways and make us a force to be reckoned with.Does anyone agree?
