Big Changes

Rumours have one again been circling about the future of Robin van Persie. Many believed that he would be a vital cog in Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United reign but so far the Dutch striker has failed to fire with just 3 goals and some one paced performances.

The Evening Standard reckons that Manchester United are targeting tow wonderful players to replace the departing RvP:

..indifferent form and concerns over his fitness have led United to embark on a search for his successor with Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani and Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller both on the radar.

Cavani is proven class. With 188 goals in just over 300 games at club level he has been prolific throughout his career. He’s also turned out 69 times for Uruguay and scored 24 goals in that time. With Zlatan coming close to the end of his career you would imagine PSG would be keen to hold on to the player.
But we think that he would suit The Premier League and Manchester United.

As for Muller, he doesn’t look that special but his stats are incredible. He has scored regularly for club (125 to date) and country on the biggest stages and, at 25, he’s already amassed 62 caps and 26 goals for Germany – as well as the small matter of a World Cup Winners medal of course. Quite simply Muller makes things happen.

Let’s take a look at Muller in action. Manchester United fans: is this this sort of player that the team needs or would some added pace be a more urgent requirement?
