He is one of the most impressive players in the European game on current form and latest reports suggest that Manchester City are keen to sign Juan Cuadrado sooner rather than later:
…City will capitalise on United’s drop in revenue and supposed limited funds by meeting Cuadrado’s sizeable buy-out clause in January.
The 26-year-old only recently signed a new deal with La Viola, but is thought to be unhappy with the state of his sides fortunes and manager Vincenzo Montella.
We have to say that Cuadrado isn’t one of the first players who would spring to mind in relation to Manchester City. The club is extremely strong down the right flank where they can use the fit again Samir Nasri, James Milner or Jesus Navas.
The Colombian can also play as a wing back but City have Sagna and Zabaleta in the full back/wingback positions. But Manchester City may simply be adopting the policy of purchasing the best players whenever they are available and Cuadrado can become even more of a match winner in the next few years.
He’s lighting quick, has an unbelievable motor and great distribution. And he has an eye for goal too with 17 in 77 league games for Fiorentina.
While we think that Manchester City will strengthen in other areas first, Cuadrado is certainly good enough to play with the champions.
Let’s take a look at him in action. Manchester City fans: worth a punt or are you already overloaded on the right flank?
