We could see this one coming a mile off. As the performances have become consistently immaculate David de Gea’s name is cropping up on an increasingly frequent basis in relation to some of the world’s giants – most notably Real Madrid.

The sensational Spaniard looks absolutely nailed on to take one of the top jobs in La Liga with Barcelona and Real Madrid both on the look out for long term successors to the legendary Valdes and Casillas.

De Gea responded to the rumours by saying:

“I feel very loved at Manchester United.

“It’s difficult to know whether an offer will come from Real Madrid because there’s chatter in the press. I feel very wanted in Manchester.

He’s doing the honourable thing in not flirting with Real Madrid. But nor is he closing the door on a move.

If we were running tings at Manchester United we wouldn’t change him for anyone – he’s a marvellous stopper.

But we think that he’ll do perhaps one more season at Manchester United before he has a very bug decision to make about Real Madrid.

Let’s see De Gea leaping through the air like an electrified cat on double espresso. United fans: can you hold onto him long term?

There’s a few players we just can not sell. De Gea, Di maria, Rooney, Januzaj, shaw…if we do its a clear sign we are not willing to be top 5 in the world. Barca Madrid Chelsea city and Bayern don’t go selling their top guys and best prospects…they develop them. We need to keep doing the same. De Gea is a king!!!!
