With Alexis Sanchez playing like a man possessed and Theo Walcott soon to embroider the front line with yet more pace and goal threat, it’s easy to forget about Arsenal’s age old problems in defence and midfield.
For those attacking talents to really profit The Gunners arguably need a stronger player in the anchor role than they currently have.
The latest solution to be mooted is Marcelo Brozovic, who Arsenal reprotedly scouted this week.
The Mirror reports:
Arsene Wenger sent scouts to watch Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic as Arsenal consider making a £5m bid.
Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Brozovic, 21, played in Croatia’s 1-1 draw with Italy and now the Gunners must decide whether to press ahead with a move.
Just 22 the lad has great maturity and has forced his way into the Croatia national team, play 7 times since his debut in 2014. He even played in The World Cup against Brazil.
Add to this 62 league game and 9 goals for Dinamo Zagreb nd you have a player who is known as a defensive midfielder but certainly knows where the goal is – he could be a really tasty addition.
Let’s see some of the best moments of his fledgling career. Arsenal fans: worth a punt or should you be going for more established internationals now?
