Great News for Arsenal as star says ‘injury is now better’

Arsenal AND

Solid

Arsenal have had terrible luck with injuries this season – don’t they always?

The defence has been particularly blighted of late and lead many to ask whether Arsene Wenger should have signed one more defender in the summer.

So threadbare has been the defence that Nacho Monreal has been playing at centre back recently as Calum Chambers has filled in on the right.

But Mathieu Debuchy has stated that he is finally ready to resume an Arsenal career which saw promising beginnings.

“My injury is now better. I work hard every day with the physio and I want to be back on the pitch in December. I’m looking forward to it.

The right back has been out since he broke down in the match against Manchester City in September and his experience, mobility and crossing ability has been sorely missed. Debuchy continued:

“I was really proud when I signed for Arsenal and it has been frustrating getting injured so soon, but I am focused on coming back stronger. I am very positive about that.”

With Debuchy back Arsenal will have an altogether more solid look at the back and the Frenchman has all the raw materials to equal or even surpass the service of the recently departed Bacary Sagna.

Let’s see Debuchy in action. Arsenal fans: is he better than Chambers at right back?
