We generally believe that most transfer stories have some substance, however outlandish. But this one is pushing the bounds of credibility.
Reports suggest that Fiorentina will make a move for Arsenal’s recovering winger Theo Walcott.
Italian side prepare SHOCK bid for Arsenal and England star Theo Walcott
They can line up a move all they like as far as we’re concerned – because they’re not going to get him.
Theo finally demonstrated, before his injury, that he has matured from a head down, speed demon to a top class talent with a great eye for goal – he’s scored 69 for Arsenal since joining the club in January 2006.
The final ball wasn’t there for a long time and he of course needs to prove himself once again after the injury. But unless his career takes a steep downward spiral then Arsenal will surely tie him down to a new contract which will make him one of the best paid players at the club.
We just hope that Walcott can get back to the blinding form that he was showing before that really unlucky injury which put him out of The World Cup.
Let’s remind ourselves of the class of the 25 year old. Arsenal fans: can Theo get back to the sort of form that he showed before the injury?
