Walking wounded

Another autumn and yet another potentially crippling injury list for Arsenal. Koscielny and Welbeck are the latest to get knocks. While the Frenchman’s injury will likely keep him out of the Hull game this weekend Welbeck’s chances of playing are much better.

Michael Arteta is also expected back from injury though he may well start on the bench.

And, in defence, the form of Calum Chambers has been one of the bright spots in Arsenal’s season. His performance for England against Estonia underlined the huge strides that he has made since he came to Arsenal. This is a player who is positively demanding a spot in the first eleven at international level.

For Arsenal too there will come a point when Wenger has a big decision to make. Because when everyone is fit it’s going to be a really touch call as to whether to bench the hitherto exceptional Englishman. But Chambers is sadly suspended for this one.

So The Gunners are particularly light at right back meaning another chance for young Spaniard Hector Bellerin. And what chance a start for Semi Ajayi at centre back? Or maybe Monreal?

An honourable mention the Jack Wilshere who was excellent at the base of the diamond for England and looks as if he’s really growing into the idea of playing as an anchor man who loves to get forward and had exceptional passing ability. Put a beast alongside him and Arsenal would be some team.

So here’s our strongest XI vs Hull. Arsenal fans: thoughts please
