With the transfer ban upheld the next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting in the history of Barcelona.
They have already done a lot of business but we may well see some more big signings before September.
If reports are to be believed then the main focus right now is the brilliant Spanish midfielder Koke. Barcelona have already added Ivan Rakitic to an ageing midfield line up, but if they brought in Koke, they would be an altogether stronger proposition.
Spanish media outlet Sport.es says:
EL BARCELONA HABLARÁ CON EL JUGADOR Y EL ATLÉTICO – Barcelona will speak with the player and Atletico
He would cost an awful lot of money but at such a young age he could be fully expected to grace the team at Barcelona for another decade – indeed you could build a whole team around him – he’s that good.
Good footballers have lots of qualities. Great footballers can do everything and we think that Koke belongs to the latter category. He’s quick, powerful, dynamic and loves to charge forward with the ball. His passing is immaculate and creative. And he’s a real goal-threat. We still can’t believe that he didn’t get more game time at The World Cup for a Spain side that was short on forward thrust and ideas.
Let’s see some Koke magic. Barcelona fans: can the club afford to make a signing of this size after all of their summer business?
