A Must Buy

While some Newcastle fans might be a little concerned about the amount of new arrivals at the club this summer, most will be happy with Alan Pardew’s recent implication that he still hasn’t finished spending yet this in this window.

“We have always maintained that we will watch the window right up until the last hours.”

Pardew is clearly pleased that Newcastle have signed a raft of creative and attacking footballers.

But we would argue that the club is still in need of a really established striker who is used to scoring goals in The Premier League.

And the club may count themselves lucky in this department as Loic Remy still hasn’t found a team to play for since his move to Liverpool collapsed. Recent reports have suggested that Newcastle may reignite their interest in the player and we would be all for it.

Remy would be a particularly valuable and low risk investment for Newcastle. Not only has he scored goals in The Premier League but he’s also used to playing for The Toon. He knows the system and he has already thrived in it.

Just like Lukaku at Everton, if Pardew can get this one done we think that it’s a no-brainer. Remy can become the talisman for the club next season.

Certainly the bookmakers think it’s on. Since Liverpool and Arsenal went cold on this seal Newcastle have become odds on favourites with SkyBet to sign the player in this window, if he does leave QPR, at 4/6.

Let’s see him doing what he does best. Toon Army: Would you welcome him back with open arms?
