Manchester United: The next star signing?

Great player

This is potentially a very exciting one. For years Manchester United have had to do without a proper left winger and perhaps they are about to solve the problem.

Atletico Madrid were absolutely sensational last season one of their very top performers in that amazing campaign was Arda Turan.

He’s a really intelligent player who rarely gives the ball away and offers genuine penetration in the wide areas. His right foot is his strongest but he’s great with both feet and usually plays down the left wing.

Reports today suggest that Manchester United are targeting the player for a summer transfer.

The Metro says:

Manchester United open talks with Atletico Madrid over Arda Turan transfer

Much has been made about Manchester United needing defenders and a central midfielder this summer. And while they are pressing concerns, we definitely think that every top squad should refresh their more creative areas each summer – regardless of how well they fared in the previous campaign. Look at Real Madrid and James Rodriguez. If Manchester United are assuring to those levels again then they need to buy elite footballers each summer.

Turan is a top quality player who would offer genuine penetration, guile and end-product, from that left flank.

Let’s have a look at him in action. Manchester United fans: should this be a priority signing for the club?

He would be a welcome signing but not our main priority. Firstly we need a top quality CD. After that we need a defensive or box to box midfielder. If the rumours about having plenty of transfer funds available then by all means get a wide man but we have to concentrate on strengthening the spine of the team first so that we can compete with the likes of City.

He is good but Reus is better! 😉
    All what Manchester United need:
    Vidal, Hummels and Reus! 😀
