Excellent player

Newcastle are in the hunt for yet more additions to their squad and are reportedly looking to acquire the services of Serge Gnabry.

The Magpies have signalled their interest in the young winger and looking at the possibility of bringing him to the club for a season-long loan, according to The Daily Mail.

Newcastle are interested in taking Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry on loan.

The Germany Under 21 forward could find first team chances hard to come by next season, particularly after the arrival of Alexis Sanchez.

The same source reports that Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is a big admirer of the 19-year-old German. However, the North East club could face competition to complete any deal with Southampton also showing interest in Gnabry.

For their part, Arsenal are reportedly unwilling to allow the winger to leave permanently but could be open to a loan move. The Gunners see the 19-year-old as a potential star for the future but may be willing to loan him out to a Premier League club to further aid his development.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lukas Podolski, and Santi Carzola are all able to play on the wing, providing plenty of competition for those positions. With the signing of Alexis Sanchez and the imminent return of Theo Walcott to full fitness, it is likely that Gnabry would see his first team opportunities limited over the coming season.

Therefore, a loan deal may well be beneficial so that he can play regular football and gain valuable experience.

Gnabry began his career at German side Stuttgart before joining Arsenal in 2011. He established himself at youth level and broke into the senior squad last season, making a number of starts and substitute appearances. His positive performances early in the season earned him a new five year contract.

He has also been capped internationally for the U19, U18, U17 and U16 Germany squads, making numerous appearances at all levels.

The possible signing of Gnabry would add to a busy summer for Newcastle. They have already acquired the services of Jack Colback, Ayoze Perez and Siem de Jong. They’ve also brought in experienced players in the form of Remy Cabella, Emmanuel Riviere and Daryl Janmaat.

Let’s see Gnabry in action. Newcastle fans: a first eleven player?

Why would we get excited building up a player for a competitor?

Most ridiculous thing I have heard.

We pay his wages and if he improves Arsenal benefit.

It could be pardews chance to ruin a promising player for another team.

He wouldn’t get a game Aarons is better and surely if we are going to increase someone’s value and give them EPL experience, we would do it with our own.
