Arsenal fans have preoccupied themselves with the impending arrival of Alexis Sanchez over the last week.
He’s an absolutely amazing footballer and one of the standout performers at this year’s World Cup.
Arsenal fans have been concerned for years about the club’s lack of willingness or ability to sign A-listers but this guy is most comfortably in that category.
But after the fan fair surrounding this move dies down Arsenal will be once more faced with the reality that they still need a combative midfielder.
They have always been pretty good going forward but they need a little bit more steel in the middle of the park.
Along with Toni Kroos, Sami Khedira was one of Germany’s best performers in the scarcely credible defeat of Brazil on Tuesday.
And reports today suggest that he wants to move to Arsenal.
The Metro says:
Sami Khedira ‘rejects new Real Madrid contract as he pushes for Arsenal transfer’
Having been out injured for such a long time it was always going to be interesting to see whether Khedira would come back to full fitness and his absolute best form.
But his performances for Germany in The World Cup been almost unbelievable considering his length of absence.
He’s a box to box midfielder who understands the importance of keeping tabs on his defence.
But he does so much more than that. He can often be seen supporting attacks and also scores important goals – he’s a complete midfielder who would undoubtedly improve Arsenal straightaway.
If Arsenal could sign Khedira and Sanchez this summer we think that they will be in the title challenge right into the final week of the season this time.
Let’s see Khedira in action. Arsenal fans: what’s not to like?

With the signing of Alex Sanchez, Arsenal are almost getting back on the spree board of the top three English clubs. Should Arsenal go ahead and confirm the other two more potential signings of Sami Khadira, Mathiew Debutchy and any other additions not well known yet it will be a deal done for English long sterving club. Otherwise congs to all Arsenal fans so far so good.
