He’s 18 years of age and he’s become the most expensive teenage footballer in the world having signed for Manchester United for up to £31.5m.
So however composed Luke Shaw seems on the football pitch, and in the media spotlight, he’s bound to be a bit overwhelmed right now.
No sooner had Shaw got back from England’s typically ill-fated World Cup expedition (in which Shaw was criminally underused, might we add) than he was off to Manchester United to cross the T’s and dot the I’s on a mega move to the northern giants.
It’s safe to assume that Shaw wasn’t helped by jet-lag either and the whole event must have been an absolute whirlwind.
So while Shaw seems completely made up to be joining Manchester United there is not a little nervousness in his demeanour. He also reminds us that, despite his incredible physique, he is still just a boy at heart by talking about ‘when I grow up’.
Shaw seems like a really nice, humble lad and we have no doubt that he will be an absolute legend at Manchester United. Welcome Luke.
