Juventus aren’t exactly short on strikers right now. In fact you could say they have one of the better strike forces in European football.
But they have a very experienced squad and may look to reduce the average age of their front line over the next year or so.
Recent reports have suggested that they are interested in signing Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
He’s clearly a very good footballer. But Real Madrid have such an embarrassment of riches up top that manager Carlo Ancelotti seems to be doing the honourable thing and allowing the player to leave if he wants more game time.
He’s untested outside of his own country but Italy and Juventus would probably suit his style. He’s a very technical player with a great touch. But he’s also got a powerful physique and is clearly hungry to prove himself.
We imagine that he wants to be at the heart of the next great Spain team. But to do that it look as if he will probably have to gain experience away from The Bernabeu.
British bookmakers Skybet have installed Juventus as firm favourites to sign the player this summer, if he does leave the Spanish club, at even money odds of 1/1.
It looks increasingly likely that Morata will leave Madrid this summer. So, Juventus fans, would you like to see him joining The Old Lady?
