With Shola Ameobi and Loic Remy looking offski this summer, and Hatem Ben Arfa also potentially on his way out of Newcastle, the club needs to sign creators and attackers fast.

Newcastle have of course signed Ayoze Perez and other names are being linked on a daily basis.

But one player who could surely do a job at Newcastle has already made a name for himself at The World Cup – Ecuador forward Enner Valencia.

After a sterling performance in a friendly against England just prior to The World Cup Valencia also played in Ecuador’s first game in Brazil. He scored their only goal in that game.

The 25 year-old is lightning fast and has a wonderful final ball. He can also playing various different positions across the front line to great effect.

Newcastle fans will be interested to know that Skybet have Newcastle as favourites to sign Valencia, should he move clubs this summer, at odds of 8/1.

He would certainly add pace, goal threat and a direct manner to the team and we can’t imagine him not being a success at Newcastle.

He’s also scored five goals in 11 international games for Ecuador and has also scored 18 in 23 league games for current club Pachuca.

Let’s see the lad in action. Newcastle fans: what is there not to like about this guy?
