Without any real hype surrounding an actual transfer so far, we have been banging on about this guy coming to Manchester United for ages.
Some readers of soccersweep have suggested that signing Alexi Sanchez from Barcelona would would be like bringing in a carbon copy of Nani – a player capable of sublime still but unable to control the flow of his ingenuity.
This is certainly not the case. The stas that speak for themselves.
If Nani had scored 20 goals for Manchester United in the season, nobody would be calling him inconsistent or useless.
But that is what Sanchez has done for Barcelona this season as well providing countless assists.
He also scores important goals like the one against Atletico Madrid in La Liga towards the end of the season. And The Telegraph reports on a story from Italy about Sanchez possible moving to Manchester United:
• Strong rumour: Manchester United have opened talks with Barcelona over a €25 million (£20.2m) move for Alexis Sánchez but Juventus are also keen on the Chile forward. (Gazetta dello Sport)
Alexis Sanchez, who joined Barcelona in 2011 for a fee rising to £33m, would restore Manchester United’s wing play to former glories. He’s an absolute flying machine who also has the close control to match. He can play on either wing and loves to cut it, offering serious goal threat as well as a good final ball.
Sanchez would have Manchester United fans off their seats on a regular basis and we think that it would be an absolutely superb signing for the club.
Let’s have a look at him in action. Manchester United fans: keen?
