BBC reports that Manchester United are today in talks for Luke Shaw signature
The BBC, no less, has reported Friday morning that negotiations between Southampton and Manchester United for the transfer of Luke Shaw have resumed today. So it basically must be true!
Manchester United are set to resume talks with Southampton on Friday over the transfer of left-back Luke Shaw, reports BBC Radio Solent.
Left-back had been one of the priority areas for David Moyes before he was sacked by United last month.
The 18-year-old has also reportedly been courted by his boyhood team Chelsea over the last few months and he looks set to leave Southampton this summer.
The apparent hiatus at Manchester United, caused by the sacking of David Moyes, left many fans worried that they would miss out on the highly sought-after Shaw.
And a deal was looking in the balance as Chelsea reportedly re-ignited their interest earlier this week. But this news will be music to the ears of Manchester united fans who are desperate to see some world-class talent coming into the squad this summer.
Shaw is the one of the finest young prospects in world football and Manchester United would be extremely lucky to snare him considering the options that the player would have had to join a Champions League chasing side next season.
Shaw won’t be playing for England tonight as he hass reportedly fallen ill. But this won’t keep him out of the tournament proper.
Manchester United are believed to have already had a £27 million bid turned down for the player. But an offer of £30 million could well do the job.
Manchester United fans. Do you want this one to go ahead?
