The season is going from bad to worse for Newcastle
Cemented in mid-table they are neither in danger of relegation or the European places. And many Newcastle fans blame this comfort zone for a recent dip in form and results.
Alan Pardew Newcastle will probably be desperate for the end of the season at this point because many more defeats could spell the end of his tenure as manager.
All Newcastle eyes will now be on the summer transfer market and who the club can bring in to bolster their currently injury hit squad.
With Cabaye gone to PSG Newcastle will look to add some creativity into the side thorough the transfer window.
Having watched Olympiacos beat Manchester United 2-0 in the 1st Leg of the second round of The Champions League last month the standout performer on the night was easily Joel Campbell.
On loan at Olympiacos from Arsenal the Costa Rican forward has superb pace and real technical skill. His close control that night was excellent and he was a real thorn in Manchester United’s side.
We feel that he is potentially good enough to make the grade Arsenal. But, with a spending spree planned at The Emirates they may listen to offers if Newcastle put a serious bid in for the player.
