Liverpool keen to sign more Latin flair – report
You could say that Liverpool have had success with South American players of late. Lucas has done a really solid job for the club when fit.
Philippe Coutinho has been an absolute sensation for Liverpool and can only have exceeded even the most optimistic projections of Brendan Rodgers and the fans. At 21 it’s frightening to think how good he can become.
Then there is Luis Suarez. Nuff said.
It’s also true that Liverpool’s weakness is their defence. So it might follow that Liverpool would be keen on a South American defender! Reports today suggest that this might be the case. Talksport says:
Liverpool are plotting a move for Villarreal’s Mateo Musacchio this summer.
Brendan Rodgers wants to sign a defender and although Benfica’s Ezequiel Garay has emerged as a target, Musacchio may be a more viable option.
Apparently he wouldt cost the earth as he is out of contract with his club at the end of the season. At 23 years of age he still has time to benefit from Brendan Rodgers’s mercurial coaching abilities and he looks as if he could do a job for Liverpool. He’s well built but mobile and decent on the ground.
He’s already played 131 times for Villareal scoring 3 goals. Musacchio has also been capped twice for Argentina.
Let’s see him in action. Liverpool fans – the club will undoubtedly buy defenders this summer. Do you like the look of this guy?
