We at soccersweep believe that it’s simply a matter of time before David Moyes is sacked as manager of Manchester United. You can’t hide from the facts forever. The facts are that Moyes has taken the club from winning machine to spluttering old wreck in 8 short months.
Manchester United keep taking huge hits. After each defeat there are a few days where the dust settles and then Moyes faces the press with renewed hope and we go again. But Manchester United are simply lurching from one disaster to another and it’s gone way too far for David Moyes to turn things around now. We don’t believe that he has the ability or respect from around the club to continue.
If Manchester United fail to qualify for the next round of The Champions League or take a cuffing at home from a far more coherent and powerful Manchester City side, then he simply has to go. Because, if The Glazers don’t do the deed at that point, the fans will surely be in open revolt.
The real question now is what happens after Moyes at Manchester United? Some think that he should be sacked at the end of the season – there is no point in doing it now. Furthermore, the sorts of managers that Manchester United would want to succeed Moyes simply aren’t available at this time right?
Nonsense. The longer you let the rot set in the bigger the job you have to repair it. If it were up to us he would be gone already. Get rid of Moyes and lift the gloom before The Champions League returns.
As we have stated before we would get Gary Neville in there until the end of the season to carry out the orders of Alex Ferguson, who would be making the big decisions, but remotely. But Neville too has big TV commitments which he would be loathe to break. The Daily Mail said earlier:
One theory is that Giggs may yet be the next United manager — temporarily or otherwise — and is merely biding his time.

So it looks as if the legend that is Ryan Giggs could be the interim manager of Manchester United. Not the sort of person to strike fear into his players. But someone who commands huge respect and could probably unite the squad in a way that Moyes hasn’t.
Although Ryan Giggs wouldn’t be our first choice long-term Manchester United manager, we think that many a fan would bite your hand off if you offered them that choice right now.

If he loses both games, against Olympiacos and Man. City, a lot of Man. Utd supporters would agree with you. But Olympiacos is not a top drawer team in Europe, and if United plays a normal game they can overturn the recent result and qualify. Man. City is another thing. Only the United resolve to do well against their bitter, noisy neighbours and rivals, can bring in a good result. But United players are half hearted, and it looks as if they have lost faith in Moyes, and prefer to see him go. For the good of the team a new Manager would be best.
