Arsenal have ‘agreement’ with sensational striker

Arsenal finally close to top striker signing?

It’s a question which has been posed for far too long for many Arsenal fans. While the team continues to perform admirably, on the whole, the feeling remains that Arsenal don’t have the final ingredients to get across the trophy line.

The dismantling by Bayern Munich on Arsenal’s own ground burst the bubble of the optimists and gave ample evidence that The Gunners are still short of a couple of key players.

You don’t need to be a genius to figure out that Arsenal need a couple more strikers. While Podolski is arguably a decent squad player, he’s not a ruthless goalscorer and we don’t particularly rate him. Giroud has obviously impressed, but he needs help.

Rumours abound that RvP will return and we are sure that any ire would be set aside by the fans if he did want to come back – he’s exactly what the club needs.

Another oft-linked target has reportedly already agreed to move to Arsenal in the summer – if his club lets him go. Portuguese daily A Bola today reports:

With limited room in the main squad (233 minutes on the pitch and three goals, Alvaro Morata, one of the jewels of merengue training already has a preliminary agreement with Arsenal to transfer from Madrid to London next close season.

The report goes on to state that Real Madrid are yet to give the go ahead for the move. One would imagine that this would be a loan deal as Real Madrid would clearly want to see how the lad develops before conceiving of a permanent transfer.

Still, a loan would be great for Arsenal. If they could get an experienced striker in as well as Morata you would have to say that Arsenal would be well set in that department for next season.

Arsenal fans, would you be happy with this addition? And would you accept RvP back?

You are very lazy intellectually as what you did was to recycle old and stale news. How many teams on this planet can withstand Bayern with only ten players? Even the mega rich City could not survive Barcelona with ten men. You would have made some sense had you just said Arsenal needed another striker rather than using the opportunity to take a swipe at the club. Thank God that Arsenal was not the only English team that lost in the champion league.

I really don’t think we need RVP,we need to go for a younger striker like Balotelli or Diego Costa who are more long term RVP is already in his thirties and i think he has lost a bit of sharpness he had last season We should get a younger world class striker and forget about buying one for some time.

It’ll be a great mistake to bring RVP back. Let’s not forget his fitness history, not to mention he’s over 30. Arsenal is a football club not a hospital. When he was here, RVP spent much of his time in hospital beds. He wants to come back to be nursed again.

It would be a permanent transfer not a loan. Real’s priority is jese. Podolski is much more than a “decent squad player”. You might not rate him, but more importantly, most arsenal fans do. That being said, we do need a striker, however should be looking to secure a world class striker if we are serious in being title contenders on a regular basis.

I’ve read rumors about this as well. Unlikely that we will sign 2 strikers. Just be happy if we get one. We’ll get Joel Campbell back next season and he looks pretty immense, plus the team will have improved so we should have a good attack.

Dismantling!? Excuse me, we were battering them pretty much until we went down to 10 men. They did dismantle us then but any team at that level who play good possession football will batter an opponent 1 man short. We would have done the same to them had they lost a man. We would have passed them to death like they did to us.

The Stoke, where Arsenal lost, speaks volumes!
    Arsenal need lethal goal poachers!
    RVP is history!
Diego Costa and even the outrageous and radical Balotelli will be ideal!
