With Arsenal looking a little light up top we would be incredulous if they didm’t strengthen in the forward areas this summer.
It may seem a long way off but Arsenal will want to move early on targets, to avoid their value going through the roof, after The World Cup.
Various reports today suggest that Arsenal may have a French target in mind for their summer business. While loads of mega bucks signings have been mooted, Arsenal might look into the mid-range market, according to some.
The Metro, among others, is reporting that Arsenal may make a move for France international Loic Remy.
Arsenal are ready to hijack Newacstle’s bid to keep Loic Remy, after reportedly making preliminary contact with the striker’s agent.
The Gunners are in desperate need of a forward and have had their scouts run the rule over Remy, 27, who will be available in the summer after his loan at St James’ Park expires.
This could turn out to be masterstroke for Arsenal. Like Thierry Henry, Remi is a forward who has regularly played in the wider areas through his career. He’s indisputably talented but hasn’t yet found a spiritual home, despite scoring goals everywhere that he has played. Based on his recent form, he’s got to be a shoe-in for The World Cup squad.
We think that Arsenal would be the perfect club for Remy and it could turn out to a superb signing that could leave money in the coffers for further strengthening.
