Liverpool fans still tread with caution when asked about their team’s title credentials. But, if they win tonight and other results go their way, they will be just four points of the pace.
With Chelsea drawing last night and Manchester City having a bit of a wobble, Liverpool look like the most convincing team in The Premier league right now. Having seen many of their performances this season we are mightily impressed with how they have progressed. They really do look like title heavyweights now and absolutely battered Arsenal at the weekend – turning the game into a procession after just 20 minutes.
If Liverpool keep their main men fit they could be 12 games from something very special.
As for Fulham, they proved at the weekend how crazy the game of football is. After losing at home to Sheffield United Fulham went on to get a very creditable draw at Manchester United.
Fulham were under siege for long periods of the game and can expect similar bouts of pressure from an in form Liverpool tonight.
But the performance at the weekend will give Fulham huge confidence and their home advantage could see them continue their revival. But, when all is said and done, you have to fancy a Suarez inspired Liverpool.
