West Ham: Player shocker

Things can change quickly in footy

They say that fortunes can change fast in football and it certainly appears to be the case with West Ham at the moment – and, in particular, with one of their young stars.

Just a few months ago we were talking about Ravel Morrison being an outside bet to be on the plane to Brazil 2014. The West Ham man was demolishing defences and really looked as if he was getting his head down – realising the enormous potential that he has always possessed.

This may well still be the case. Morrison could remain on an upward trajectory. But, Sam Allardyce’s recent comments about the player are shocking and do not bode well at all.

Morrison could be on is way to QPR after refusing to turn out for West Ham, based on a niggling groin injury, according to big Sam. The Daily Mail reported this week:

Discussing Morrison’s recent lack of playing time, Allardyce said: ‘Ravel is still complaining about a niggling groin problem. Listening to our medical team, there is no problem if he wants to carry on. He says he feels it occasionally and instead of gritting your teeth and getting on with it… he is not the type.

Coming from the West Ham manager the last few words seem like nails in the coffin for the player’s West Ham career. Allardyce loves his layers to show serious commitment to the cause and run through walls for him if necessary.

After sparkling for West Ham in the early months of the season there has been a huge amount of transfer speculation about the player. We regularly say that there is no smoke without fire and can easily see the player now moving on.

West Ham fans – do you want to ride the storm with the player or get rid?

It’s very simple really, if ravel wants to be all he can be in the game then he needs to knuckle down and get on with his footballing education, whether that’s at the hammers or out on loan till he grows up then all well and good. If however, he hasn’t learnt anything and thinks he can take all the rewards without putting in the hard yards then he can fuck off and do it somewhere else! Simple!

Shame on Morrison . Spoilt brat with over inflated opinion of himself . Send him to Fulham to get relegated,or QPR . He obviously prefers playing at that championship level .
