Arsenal must surely be on the lookout for top strikers in order to bolster their already impressive squad.
The midfield is absolutely beautiful for Arsenal right now. The defence could do with the odd tweak. But it’s in attack where Arsenal needs to move to the world-class bracket. They no longer have players of the quality of Thierry Henry and RvP to lead the line. But the good news is that they do appear to have the money in order to invest in really top players once more.
One who has been linked to a move to Arsenal today is the sensational Colombian striker Radamel Falcao. His big move to France only happened in the summer but there has been constant speculation that he is unhappy and wants to make a move in the short to medium-term.
The Daily Star today offers up a story linking the player with a move to Arsenal, who have just signed a massive deal with sportswear brand Puma. The Star says:
Falcao made a £51m move to Monaco in the summer.
But there’s hope that the Gunners could make a move to lure him to London with their huge war-chest in the summer.
Colombia star Falcao is sponsored by Puma and the sponsorship deal could aid a possible bid.
Falcao out is an absolute beast of a striker and it is hard to imagine a better player to lead the line for Arsenal. Having scored 52 goals in just 67 games in Spain he moved to Monaco in the close season – there he has scored 9 goals in just 17 games.
As you will probably know the player damaged his knee quite severely last week and he’s had an operation since. So there’s no chance he will make a move in January but who knows what the summer might bring. After the signing of Ozil in the summer, anything now seems possible at Arsenal.
