Stop sulking and get your cash out Moyesy

For Manchester United fans it’s like watching a car crash right now. Meanwhile, for everyone else who have been in United’s shadow for so long, it’s like Christmas came early… and on time… and late. And Christmas is still happening.

The ABUs are having an absolute field day at Manchester United’s expense as the season goes from bad to worse.

Some are left questioning the wisdom of hiring David Moyes who seems strangely incapable of affecting games from the sidelines. Many Manchester United fans are getting behind their manager. It’s a commendable tactic but Moyes needs to start demonstrating what makes him Manchester United material.

Sure, don’t panic Mr.Moyes. But do remember that your targets will become much harder to snare in the summer if you can’t offer Champions League football. Signings need to be made in this window and we feel that Moyes needs to pull out all the stops to get these three.

Luke Shaw – yesterday The Telegraph said:

Luke Shaw is now Moyes’s favoured option, but Southampton have no desire to sell this month. To force their hand, United would have to pay well in excess of £20m.

So what? If a price tag of £20m for a ten year solution to the left-back position is the biggest problem then Moyes has it easy. The Manchester United manager should bite the hand off the selling party at that price and ‘Shaw’ up his defence no end. Shaw could spend a year learning from the master (Evra) and then take the reigns. A super investment.

Ross Barkley – Young, bullish, intrepid, full of energy and not a little magic in the boots. He will be extremely hard to sign in the winter window but he could be the difference between CL qualification and Europa League shame. Earlier this season The Daily Mail put Barkley’s value at around £30. But we think he’d cost quite a bit more by now.

Lucas Moura – The Brazilian chose PSG over Manchester United a year ago but he has been increasingly marginalised and some think he will be sold. Manchester United are absolutely desperate for more quality in the wide areas and we think that Moyes should take a punt on the mercurial winger. He’s got pace, guile and knows where the goal is. At perhaps £25m he’s be a bargain and add much needed dynamism, flair and a final ball from the flanks. Let’s see the lad in action. Went to PSG for a reported fee of 45m Euros.

Total – around £100m

this is nothing new, we were all saying this last summer. shaw, barkley, moura, hummels, garay, mata and we would still need 2 central midfielders.

united are not a club to buy players and play them. they develop and make better.

sell vidic, rio (stay as coach), nani, Valencia, kagawa, young, fellaini, Anderson, bebe, macheda, cleverly, welbeck, giggs must retire.
