Call the medics! Because this guy is on fire!
Aston Villa haven’t had the greatest time of it of late as their Premier League form has taken a bit of a nose dive again.
Benteke is struggling for goals and, without him scoring, Aston Villa can look a little toothless. But Paul lambert has dragged Aston Villa out of the mire before and we believe that he will do it again. Aston Villa simply need some more firepower to take some of the weight off the big Belgian’s shoulders.
So how about Bradford City striker Nakhi Wells? The 23 year old Bermudan has scored 42 goals in 91 appearances since joining the League One club in 2011. And his ratio of goals to games has improved the longer he’s been there. With 14 in 19 games this season the lad is probably passing goals in his stools right now.
No, he hasn’t proven himself in The Premeir League, but there is only one way to find out if he can and it wouldn’t cost a fortune to bring him to Aston Villa.
Speculation has intensified over the last few days about Aston Vill a making a bid for the player, with The Metro reporting:
Aston Villa have turned to Bradford City goal-machine Nahki Wells as they look to add to their stuttering strike force.
Villa boss Paul Lambert is desperate to add another forward to his ranks this month, with Christian Benteke struggling for form, and Libor Kozak out for the season.
According to reports, a £2million deal is in the pipeline for the player who scored 26 goals in 54 matches last season – to help Bradford to promotion.
We think that, at that price, he’s worth a punt and SkyBet have Aston Villa as the best priced EPL side to sign the player at odds of 15/8. The same bookmaker has Huddersfield at 8/11 favourites to sign the player. But, one would imagine that the player would opt for a chance at the big time, if Aston Villa do show serious interest.

Can’t imagine with his background that he’d set the championship on fire let alone the prem, it’s a lot easier to score down there. Just ask Jordan Bowery… Who? Exactly!
