Many eyes will be on Manchester United and David Moyes this winter, as money will surely be spent, on a squad which is struggling to keep up with the pace-setters in The Premier League.

With a decent looking run of fixtures coming up, Manchester United will hope to claw back some points on the leaders, who all have big head to heads over Christmas.

But Moyesy will also pull out all the stops to sign some talent which can go straight into the first team. Fans of the club are hoping that the main focus will be to bring in creative midfielders who can offer better service to the brilliant strike force.

But rumours persist that Manchester United are also attempting to sign defenders in the winter window. One such rumours suggests that Manchester United want to sign 22 year old Swiss international Fabian Schar.

The 22 year old, who currently plays for Basle, is already a commanding presence for his team and also loves to chip in with goals. He scored 9 in 52 for his first club, FC Wil 1900, before bagging 6 in 32 for Basle. He also has a remarkable 3 in 5 appearances for the national side.

While the need for defenders isn’t urgent, in our opinion, this guy fits the profile as a good young investment who could go on to be a United stalwart. With Arsenal also sniffing around, Manchester United may have a battle for his signature, if they decide to enter the race for him.
