Arsenal: Young star signs contract

Serge Gnabri, Arsenal’s young attacking midfielder, has signed a new long term deal which will keep him at Arsenal for the foreseeable future.

The 18 year old winger started his first senior game with Arsenal against Stoke and has since impressed Arsene Wenger. The Arsenal manager said of the youngster,

“We signed Serge Gnabry because I believe that he will be a great player. He’s nearly there now, and competes for a regular place in the team in the Premier League.

“He has technical ability, he has power, he has pace, he has finishing quality and he can give a final ball. He’s a powerful offensive player and I believe that he will be a great player for Arsenal Football Club.”

He netted his first goal in Arsenal’s triumph over Swansea and is now set to compete with the likes of Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil and Wilshere for a spot in a three man attacking midfield which seems to be Wenger’s preferred formation these days.

The German U21 international seems delighted and excited to be under the wing of Wenger, who is known for nurturing young talent and giving youngsters their chance in the first team, when deserved.

Gnabri recently stated,

“Arsenal is a great football club and I’m so happy to be here and sign a new contract. For me, now it’s all about working hard and developing my game.”

“I’ve had some good opportunities recently in the first team, which has given me extra confidence, and this will only improve my game. I’m looking forward to giving my best for this club in the years to come.”

With an ever improving blend of talented and hungry youngsters, along with world class, experienced players, it seems as though Arsene Wenger may at last be finding a recipe for renewed success at Arsenal.
