Liverpool didn’t get the result they wanted last weekend but it’s a complement to the progress of the club under Brendan Rodgers that an away draw at Newcastle was greeted with disappointment. They should have beaten The Toon’s ten men because now you expect Liverpool to win every week.
Daniel Sturridge keeps improving before your very eyes while Luis Suarez is coming back the boil after his staggered start to the season. Liverpool have such strength in those two that, even when the play badly, Liverpool will often outscore the opposition this season. They are comfortably the best double act in The Premier League on current form.
In this fettle you would expect them to win this encounter too. But West Brom don’t muck abart. An impressive win at Manchester United a fortnight ago was just one of a number recent scalps of the big boys. West Brom are physical but also technical adroit. Liverpool will know that they have been in a game after this one.
Jose Enrique is a doubt for Liverpool, but the team otherwise looks pretty settled. Here’s our predicted line up. Let us have your thoughts.
Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Toure, Skrtel, Sakho, Cissokho, Gerrard, Lucas, Moses, Sturridge, Suarez

while Skrtel has got better, the team for me needs more power in the middle of the pitch v West Brom’s pair in there.
That means either leaving out Moses who has been average at best and playing Lucus, Henderson and Gerrard in the middle.
I think we need more legs in the midfield and that doesn’t mean just leave all the pressing up to Jordan in that department.
I like the 532 formation although its not rigid like that, it will get better with time, Sakho for me will be world class, he has not played much football and to many people are judging him early! he is already great, and will get better and fitter with time, ,much like Aly Cissokho.
I would like Agger back in for the football he brings to the back line, Toure has been good but no more than that, his energy was poor v Newcastle and yes his legs had gone around 75 minutes as well! we cant have that today, West Brom are full of gas and they will run all day.
My line up would be –
MIGNOLET
Skrtel Agger Sakho
Johnson Cissokho
Henderson Lucus Gerrard
Suarez Sturridge
Bench – Jones gk, Toure, Skrtel, Allen, Moses, Kelly, Alberto,
