Tottenham

If Tottenham don’t finish 4th will THIS happen?

soccersweep has long argued that Tottenham have once again reached a glass ceiling in The Premier League. The strongest 3 sides are still Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City. Tottenham are arguably stronger than Arsenal but still sit in the second tier of the league. They are so close to breaking into that oligopoly but, to do so they need to not only keep their best players, but sign another 2 or 3 top stars in the summer. In the recent past, they have got to a certain level but then folded to the demands of their best players, whose heads have been turned by other clubs. Carrick, Berbatov and Modric have left in such circumstances. Tottenham fans will hope and pray that the same doesn’t happen with Gareth Bale.

In order for Totters to finally smash that glass ceiling they first need to qualify for the The Champions League. If they don’t Bale may well decide that it’s time to explore pastures new. In that eventuality, the papers are speculating Tottenham have lined up a replacement – Hamburg’s Son Heung-Min.

The 21-year-old has been drawing admiring glances from all over Europe. He is being passed around the tabloids like a badly-rolled joint at the moment.
He certainly doesn’t look like he’s in Bale’s league but he is obviously a decent and efficient footballer who scores goals and likes to run at defenders. The figure of £10 million is being bandied around as the amount required to snare him from the German club.

Let’s have a look at the lad shall we? Yes, let’s!

Disagree spurs don’t have a stronger squad or team than arsenal. All spurs have is bale and without him they look quite awful and vulnerable at times. Arsenal are the 4 strongest side in the country and its about time you writers have them the credit they deserve.

    Poor article in my view.

Very wrong, if we had your strikers(or strikers that find the back of the net), it would be a whole different ball game. Our squad is much stronger through out!

Jez I disagree, Bale has been on fine form since Xmas chipping in with goals but we have had so many more fine performances like beating Arsenal at WHL and Man Utd at OT where Bales impact was limited so I beg to question how we find ourselves in the position we are which is pushing Arsenal all the way. When all is said and done we are 3 quality players from 3rd upwards whereas I would say Arsenal need an overall in all departments. You just have to look at the Everton game last night to make my point. Arsenal did not have 1 player who looked like they were going to score and the only stat in your favour as it always is the possession. 1 point in it last season and probably not going to be much in it this time round either. You could say that you were the one man team with RVP last season because if it was not for him you would have got no where near us and that is fact.

Personally I feel the 1st 11 of Spurs, Arsenal and Everton are equal but play different styles with Bale being the standout best player in any of the teams.

the guy did say ‘arguably’ a stronger side, which is exactly that – I think the topic is open for debate. ‘All Spurs have is Bale’ does a bit of a disservice to the likes of Aaron Lennon, Jan Vertonghen, Sandro, Hugo Lloris among others, so, poor response in my view.

I wouldn’t say Chelsea are streaks ahead of either club, as well…

Jez I’m a Tottenham fan and believe it or not I enjoy watching arsenal play, good movement and good players but IMO you can’t really think at this point arsenal have better players??

Lloris vs shezney- well lets be honest shezney is average at best and lloris is arguably best in the league

Vertongan vs any of your defenders well arsenal defence are poor just look at Tottenham vs arsenal to see my point plus many other games! Take ya pick.

Bale is better than any player you have sandro is a better dm than any1 you have
Dembele keeps the ball and dictates the game better than any1 you have! As for the rest of the team both teams are average and need to buy this summer! I will say cazorla wilshere and arteta are class but don’t compare to tottenhams best players. Just my opinion tho

I think Spurs are a young developing squad in transition. Very pleased to see them in a position to Qualify for Champions League. Bale of course is brilliant on his day. Son would be a great addition. But Spurs have Lloris, Vertoghen, Lennon.
Walker, Sigurdson, Holtby, Townsend, Fryers, Rose, all coming through. The development squad doing really well so I hope more will come through. Ever an optimist as a Spurs supporter I find it the best way.

It sounds like Jez is an Arsenal who is a bit bitter. Arsenal have some excellent players and a very good manager but man for man I would say Spurs have a stronger squad. There is nothing wrong with the article Jez, just because you disagree with the subject matter it doesn’t make the article poor.

I am arsenal fan but I have to admid spurs are stronger. But without Bale they can’t just beat us. Bale make it different when he plays everytime since christmas. As a Gunner Wenger need to buy and NOT FRENCH unknown players. Spanish players did great impact. Valdes or Casillas needed and CD DM required to reach succes.

Spurs ! All the way. I’m a die hard fan and will support the Lilywhites indefinitely. I’m sure Spurs are a better team. We’re unlucky to have injuries during the crucial last few games and this happened to us last year. In comparison, man to man, we are better off and look at the under 21, up and coming players. I’m sure they’ll be good enough to be in the 1st team in the coming months. Yes! we may need to buy some good strikers. Attack is the word. Attack, attack, attack all the way.THe Spurs way.AVB is a very ,very good manager and he has proven to the EPL, esp. Chelsea. C’mon lads ! Whack the hell out of the arseholes. We can do it.

Great video the guy if signed could be what were looking for we would need another as well. As for Arsenal they only have maybe a couple of class act players but Spurs the list is not comparable Jan, Sandro, Bale, Lennon, Lloris, Dawson should I continue go away gooner scum!
