Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is on the move, with reports in Turkey suggesting that a deal for the Ivory Coast international has been done between Galatasaray and Shanghai Shenhua. However, Talksport this morning suggested that his destination might yet be AC Milan.
The ex-Chelsea striker is reportedly leaving China just 6 months after signing a megabucks deal in the Far East. The 34 year old may sign a 1.5 year deal with the Turkish club who have already signed Holland international Wesley Sneijder this month.
There was talk of Drogba coming back to Chelsea and, despite the apparent red tape involved in any temporary move, it seems strange that The Blues didn’t make more effort to bring such a proven marksman back to the club – on whatever terms. Despite signing Demba Ba, Chelsea’s season continues to be pitted with problems in the striking department. With Drogba tailor made for Chelsea’s system many fans will be dismayed to see their hero going elsewhere.
So, Chelsea fans, is Ba enough or do you think that Rafa should have pulled out all the stops to re-sign Didier?
